Each building will compliment its neighour through its respectful massing, geometry and envelope aesthetics. The evolution of design language, and material selections will be distinctive enough for each building to have its own identity within SoBow’s cohesive masterplan design. This integrated approach to design will be achieved through common outdoor site infrastructure and amenity spaces that will make the community seamless and connect with nature and the best backyard in the city.
PHASE I: Grande House
While M2i did not develop the first building (Grande House), it has been heavily involved in building and amenity improvements, including re-activating the gym with our new operator CityFit!
PHASE II: 1912Cross
In 2012, when designing 1912Cross, we respected the basic building elements and language of Grande House (masonry, metal panels, and windows). However, through detailed design we managed to achieve a contemporary look that created uniform building hierarchy but with a much more dynamic and timeless effect. The 1912Cross phase of SoBow, which joins the now-completed Grande House, features 120 condominiums, including garden townhomes and two-storey lofts on a master planned site. High-end finishings and BuiltGreen certified construction are the hallmarks of SoBow, which boasts 25 per cent more space on average in its suites than any of the new residential towers downtown.
