Calling all music lovers! If you get a thrill from finding rare music, Recordland is the place for you. The old building doesn’t look like much from the outside, but upon entering, you’re greeted with a colossal library of floor-to-ceiling records, CDs, tapes, posters and more. Recordland is the culmination of two decades of music hoarding and is a music collectors’ utopia.

This family owned store has been in business for over two decades, and it’s likely they’ll be around for at least 20 more. Although the original owner, Armand Cohen, has recently retired, his sons, Eraz and Al Cohen, have kept the business going strong with their extensive knowledge of music and an impressive collection of analog and digital musical selections.

Recordland is more about culture than commerce. They maintain a remarkable reputation in Calgary and abroad and have seen almost everyone through their doors, from up-and-coming indie rock artists to Radiohead.
